Service Description: Scheduling for drone flights is performed by the Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) Business Technology Services Division (BTSD). Employees at NDOT that would like imagery or other drone related services performed place requests using the unmanned aircraft system (UAS) request application. These requests are analyzed for airports, heliports, wetlands, and other areas that may potentially impact the completion of the drone flight. Part of this mission planning also involves scheduling regarding both personnel and drone availability.
Request statuses include: Acknowledged, Approved, Cancelled, Completed, New, On-Hold, and Scheduled.
