Service Description: This feature layer contains point locations and broadband access data for Community Anchor Institutions (CAIs) in Nebraska. The underlying data was collected from several sources, and information concerning these sources is provided below. Nebraska Library Commission Source: Nebraska Library Commission FY2022 Statistical Data Categories (Primary Locations Only) Broadband access from fields "6.5 ISP", "6.6 Type of Primary Internet Connection", and "6.10 Maximum Download Speed" Location data from the national Public Library Association datafile , joined by "FSCSKEY" U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Center Types: Ambulatory Surgical Centers, Critical Access Hospitals, Federal Qualified Health Centers, Hospices, Hospitals, Intermediate Care Facilities, Nursing Facilities, Rural Health Clinics, Skilled Nursing Facilities. Location from geospatial data Broadband access assessed from Fabric data; 15 hospitals are in area with no fiber service as of August 2023. Plan in development to determine current levels of broadband service. National Center for Educational Statistics Dataset: School Locations & Geoassignments Location from latest geospatial data for public (2022), postsecondary (2022), and private (2020) schools Broadband access known for districts whose service is coordinated at the state level. As of August 2023, no data for remaining public schools and all private and postsecondary schools. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Homeland Infrastructure Foundation-Level Data (HIFLD) datasets : Local Law Enforcement Locations, Fire Stations, and Courthouses Locations from geospatial data Broadband access not directly available, but could be inferred from local service levels. As of August 2023, plans in development to determine what access data is extant at the state or regional level. US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Data source: Geospatial Data Storefront Location obtained from geospatial data. Broadband access not directly available, but could be inferred from local service levels.
