<DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>The Nebraska Broadband Bridge Program (NBBP) Projects dataset provides an authoritative, statewide geospatial and tabular representation of locations to be served at the time of award for broadband infrastructure projects funded through the Nebraska Broadband Bridge Program during the 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 award cycles. The dataset includes project locations by project and selected award attributes such as award year, administering entities, and project name.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>The Nebraska Broadband Bridge Program was established pursuant to Nebraska state law to support the deployment of broadband infrastructure in unserved and underserved areas of the state. While the program is no longer actively funded as of 2025, it remains an established funding program and mechanism under which awarded projects continue to be administered. The Nebraska Public Service Commission administers NBBP projects through completion in accordance with statutory requirements, program rules, and Commission orders.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>This dataset supports planning, coordination, reporting, and public transparency related to broadband infrastructure investments in Nebraska. Data are compiled from official Nebraska Public Service Commission program records and reflect projects approved for funding through established program processes.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>

Data for the Nebraska Broadband Bridge Program Projects dataset are derived from Nebraska Broadband Bridge Program award documentation, program management records, and associated spatial reference materials maintained by the Nebraska Public Service Commission. Award information is reviewed for completeness and standardized for inclusion in a statewide geospatial dataset. Spatial features are created or updated using authoritative boundary boundary and location layers or project location information supplied by award recipients and administering entities. Per the NBBP 2021 project cycle, it was optional for applicants to provide geospatial datasets of their locations. Project locations were not provided for 11 of the NBBP 2021 projects. All other years and projects have applicant-provided locations at the time of award.
The dataset is maintained to support ongoing administration of awarded projects and updated periodically to update awarded projects, project status, corrections, or approved changes.
NBBP project areas were compiled for awarded projects using applicant-supplied project locations for 2021-2024 award cycles. Attribute data were extracted from PSC dockets, orders, and project tracking records.

The project area, Douglas-Washington Version 2, under carrier Cox Nebraska Telecom, LLC was modified according to order C-5484. Per the order 662 locations replaced the original 109 locations.

The project, Northwest Kearney, under carrier Allo Communications, LLC was cancelled per order C-5561 removing all project locations. The project, Fremont to Schuyler, under carrier Allo Communications, LLC was modified per order C-55561 removing 8 locations and between the Fremont and Schuyler areas.
